Preview  "EXPRESSION IN LINE AND COLOUR- Drawings and Watercolours by Ernst Ludwig Kirchner"

The exhibition "EXPRESSION IN LINE AND COLOUR- Drawings and Watercolours by Ernst Ludwig Kirchner" is dedicated to Kirchners drawings, pastels and watercolours - a less highlighted, yet central facet of his oeuvre. A selection of around 150 works from the museum's rich collection of approximately 900 works on paper offers deep insight into the quality and development of these media in Kirchner's hand – from the early "Brücke" years through to his time in Davos.

The members of the Kirchner Association are cordially invited to catch their first glimpse of the works presented in the exhibition at the preview on October 4, 2025, before the official opening of the exhibition. At the subsequent aperitif, all visitors are invited to share their impressions with one another.

We are looking forward to welcoming our special guest, German actor and author Franz Dinda, for a panel discussion with Katharina Beisiegel:

Franz Dinda moved to Berlin shortly before the fall of the Berlin Wall. After graduating from high school, he began his acting training and celebrated his breakthrough with box office hits such as "The Day Bobby Ewing Died" and "The Cloud." Numerous film and television productions followed, for which he received multiple awards, including the "German Television Award" in the "Fostering Award" category. Since 2019, he has focused entirely on the artistic work of Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, beyond his acting career. Dinda is now one of the most dedicated Kirchner researchers of his generation.
