Reinhart am Stadtgarten

Reopening with masterpieces from Friedrich to Hodler. Interventions by Koenraad Dedobbelee

David Friedrich's painting Chalk Cliffs on Rügen is the icon of German Romanticism owned by the Oskar Reinhart Foundation and will return to the collection in 2025, which has been given a radically new look following a comprehensive renovation of the building. The winning project by the artist Ayşe Erkmen and the architect Heike Hanada combines sculptural and architectural elements in a symbiotic way to create a walk-in minimalist sculpture. The artist Koenraad Dedobbeleer adds a playful, sculptural counter-accent with his light bodies.

Villa Flora

The Villa Flora was the home of Hedy Hahnloser-Bühler and Arthur Hahnloser. The former collection of Arthur and Hedy Hahnloser-Bühler brings together masterpieces by Edouard Manet, Paul Cézanne, Vincent van Gogh, Odilon Redon, Henri Matisse and Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec. The collection, house and garden form a unique cultural asset of international importance.

Félix Vallotton Illusions perdues
Félix Vallotton (1865–1925) is one of the most important figures of French modernism at the turn of the 20th century. Over 150 works from all creative phases, genres and techniques are shown at two locations, including numerous major works.
