Dear Visitors,
The Kirchner Museum Davos is pleased to welcome you. In the interest of general safety and the preservation of the museum and its collection, we kindly ask you to observe the following regulations:
Please use our lockers for your bags, backpacks, and coats. The museum accepts no liability for items left in the cloakroom. Ski boots and ice cleats (spikes) are prohibited.
A fee of CHF 25 will be charged for the loss of a locker key.
If you would like to take a break during your visit, folding stools can be borrowed at the museum desk or within the exhibition area.
Walking aids (e.g., walkers) are permitted, as are walking sticks if they are fitted with a protective rubber tip. Strollers are allowed in the exhibition rooms provided they do not contain large objects.
The museum is under video surveillance. More detailed information can be found in our Video Surveillance Regulations (only in German).
We kindly ask you to observe the following house rules before entering the exhibition areas:
General
- Smoking is prohibited in all rooms.
- Food and drinks may not be taken into the exhibition halls.
- Animals are not allowed, except for assistance dogs.
- Artworks must not be touched, and a safety distance of 50 cm from the exhibits must be maintained.
- Photography is permitted – but without flash! Filming (even for private purposes) is not allowed anywhere in the museum for image reproduction rights reasons. Recordings for commercial purposes are subject to approval and fees, and must be registered before the visit.
- Children may not be carried on shoulders. Parents, guardians, and supervisors are responsible for the children or pupils entrusted to them and are required to supervise them at all times to prevent accidents and damage, and to ensure an undisturbed museum visit for others.
- Lost property may be handed in or collected at the museum desk.
- The instructions of museum staff must be followed without exception. In the case of repeated violations of the house rules or staff instructions, staff are authorized to deny further access to the museum. Admission fees will not be refunded.
Groups / Guided Tours
- Registration is required for school classes and groups of 10 people and more.
- We hope you enjoy our museum. To prevent schedule delays we request that groups arrive on time for their tour. We recommend arriving fifteen minutes early.
- Groups led by the museum’s art educators have priority in the exhibition area.
- Tours with non-museum guides are subject to a charge. Requests for such tours are to be directed to kunstvermittlung(at)kirchnermuseum.ch two weeks in advance.
- Tour bookings are binding and may be cancelled or changed at no charge by telephone or in writing no later than five days prior to the tour date.
Parking
Paid parking spaces are located below the Kirchner Museum Davos.
Visitors with disabilities (e.g., wheelchair, walker, walking aids, etc.) may disembark directly in front of the museum and be picked up later at the main entrance.
