Nāda – Yoga of Sound: A Journey from Outer Tone to Inner Silence
In this yoga class, we encounter sound not as music, but as a subtle vibration that can be experienced through breath, movement, and attention. Nāda – the yogic term for sound – reminds us that all life arises in vibration and finds calm again through listening. The practice invites us to perceive the body as a resonant space:
Movements follow the breath, the breath becomes audible, and sound guides us inward. A gentle use of the voice, humming, or the shared chanting of OM may be part of the class – always optional and approached with mindfulness. The focus lies less on external form and more on inner listening: What happens when we do not try to perform, but simply listen? When movement arises from the breath – and stillness from the fading of sound?
This class is an invitation to experience yoga as attunement: to one’s own rhythm, to the space, and to the present moment.
