What happens when an artist uses the museum not merely as an exhibition space, but turns its rules upside down? Anna Scalfi Eghenter (*1965) creates surprising, playful and thought-provoking works of art in which visitors can become active participants and familiar notions of the public sphere and community are called into question.

Following her major retrospective at the Tyrolean State Museum Ferdinandeum and her participation in the 13th Berlin Biennale with the project Die Komödie!, the Italian artist is coming to Davos: in 2027, the Kirchner Museum Davos will present her first major exhibition in Switzerland. Ahead of the exhibition, the artist will speak with Director Katharina Beisiegel and Research Associate Matthias Gegner about her artistic practice, her participation in the Berlin Biennale, and her new works for Davos in dialogue with Ernst Ludwig Kirchner.

The conversation will be held in English. An event organised in collaboration with the Kirchner Association Davos.
